HR218 Requalification
For Tuesday, December 3rd, at 11 AM.
Meet at the LOWER Silhouette Range.

We will use the Ada County Sheriff‘s HR-218 requalification course of 15 rounds at 5 yards, slow fire. You will be firing on a standard full-size B-27 target. If you are unsure if you can pass this course of fire, please practice prior to our range date. We will allow you a reasonable number of attempts to requalify, however you will need to pass the course of fire. Absolutely no leeway or "professional courtesy" will be given on your score. Your demonstration of safe firearms handling on and behind the line of fire is also part of the qualification.

If your agency requires another course of fire, we will be happy to run you through that course. Please bring 2 printouts of their course of fire (we will keep one) and their target if they have a different one that they require.

Please note: After your qualification you will be given a signed letter on Code 3 to 1 letterhead stating that you passed. We cannot issue the requalification cards. What many people do is send the letters to their agency and their agency sends them a card. If any of your agencies request the qualifications of the range staff that is available for them as well. Please note that at this time Riverside County and the Los Angeles Sheriff‘s Departments do not accept our qualifications.

Please register and pay the $12 fee at the time you register. All fees collected go into sustaining this project.

Items to bring:

Handgun(s) (revolver or semi auto) you want to qualify with.
Enough magazines to accommodate 15 rounds.
Enough ammunition for each qualification attempt (15 rounds per).
Eye and ear protection for yourself.
All firearms brought in either cased or holstered.

RAIN OR SHINE
Bring department-issued retiree ID card to prove compliance with HR218.
